1
Smartphone Mount and Handlebar
- You may mount your phone on the holder and ride while checking Google Maps. However, holding your phone in one hand while riding is illegal.
- The joint part of the holder is weak, so forcing the angle can break it. Because vibration during riding can damage the phone, please always use a case.
- In Japan, do not ring the bell at someone blocking the way. Wait or go around instead. If you ring the bell, pedestrians may react aggressively.
2
Electric Controls
- Press the round button at the top of the controller to turn the power on. The light turns on automatically when it gets dark.
- There are three assist levels: Eco / Smart / High. Please use Eco mode as the default. Using High in everyday riding can feel too strong and raises the risk of speeding and accidents.
- The maximum speed of the electric bicycle is only 20 km/h. Even a relaxed pace can feel fast at around 15 km/h, so do not force yourself to speed. Save your energy and enjoy the trip. You may use High mode on hills such as the Osaka Castle route.

For rentals of 3 days or more
- If the battery runs out, we can bring a new battery to your location and replace it. Please contact Instagram @rrr.rent before the battery level drops below 20%. Battery replacement is available only within Osaka city.
4
Bike Pocket
- You may eat the candy in the bike pocket whenever you feel tired.
5
Lock
- The key can only be removed when the lock is in the locked position. While riding, you may keep the key inserted.
6
Center Stand
- When handling the stand, always hold the handlebar and saddle with both hands.
- The spring section is the lock. It must face forward to be fully locked. If the spring stays to the rear, the bicycle can fall over easily even if someone only brushes past it.
- Release the stand: Hold the handlebar and saddle with both hands, push the spring backward with your right foot, and move the bicycle forward.
- Lock the stand: Step on the stand with your right foot and press down with your body weight.
- If you hear a sound when turning the handlebar while the stand is down, that is the anti-tip mechanism and not a defect.
7
Lock and Stand Practice
- Now let us practice locking and unlocking the lock and lowering and raising the stand once ourselves.
8
Saddle Adjustment
- If light tiptoe contact feels comfortable while seated, the saddle height is appropriate. Turn the saddle lever counterclockwise to loosen it and clockwise to lock it.
9
Osaka Traffic Rule Reminder
Please look at the map on the back page of the safety manual we handed to you.
- Ride on the left: The basic rule is to ride near the left edge of the roadway.
- No sidewalk riding: If the roadway is too busy or dangerous, temporary sidewalk riding may be possible, but pedestrians always come first.
- No wrong-way riding, one-hand riding, or riding without watching ahead: These can lead to fines and may affect insurance coverage if an accident happens.
- On one-way streets or in heavy traffic: Do not force your way through. Moving one block over is often much more comfortable and safe.
10
Towing Warning
- In central areas such as Hommachi, Shinsaibashi, Dotonbori, and Namba, bicycle towing trucks patrol regularly. In red-zone areas, it is usually safer to stop briefly in inner alleys where trucks cannot enter, near supermarkets, convenience stores, drugstores, or restaurants where other bicycles are already parked.
- Official bicycle parking areas near subway stations and large shopping malls are often free for 30 to 60 minutes and cost only around 100 yen for the whole day. If you see one, that is the safest place to park.
11
Outdoor Practice Ride
- Now let us go outside and do one practice lap around the neighborhood. Please always ride in a single line near the left edge of the road.
12
Readjust After Practice
- After the practice ride, adjust the saddle height and angle one last time.
